How did you learn about Walking Worthy: A Journey to Freedom?
Groups are limited to no more than 13 participants, but no less than eight. First time participants will be given priority over individuals wishing to repeat the course. Groups meet one time per week for 3 hours for 26 weeks.
Facilitators are laywomen and not therapists. However, the Lay Facilitator shall be under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. The Lay Facilitators are trained in listening and helping skills from Christian professionals who are trained in individual, marital and family counseling.
Your consistent participation is critical in order to obtain fruitful results. No discretionary absences are allowed. If you are unable to be present at the group session, you will be required to make up the class before the next session.
The communication between you, your Facilitator and other group members is considered confidential except as required by law, where there is a threat of serious harm to self or others, as in the case of child abuse, suicide or homicide.
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs during group sessions is prohibited and may be grounds for termination of participation without refund of course fees.
Completing and signing the Participant Application is your first step toward joining a Walking Worthy group. Please be sure the contact information listed in correct. Someone will notify you soon of your admission status.
Walking Worthy is primarily underwritten by the generosity of our church partners. Course fees paid by participants help offset expenses related to materials, handouts and other costs in creating and maintaining a high standard of excellence. Total cost for the course is $350 which includes course materials and half of the hotel expenses for the end of group retreat.
You may make a one-time payment payable the first day of class. If you choose to pay weekly, the plan requires a $50 payment upfront and then $15 per week until payment is made in full. Discounts are available on a limited basis. Call the Church office at 423.238.7677 prior to registering for the class.
I have read the preceding information. I understand and accept the responsibilities listed.
